- Company name and what do you do exactly?
Full company name
Entourage Wellness – Kannaway
I work in the CBD hemp industry providing products to help people live better, healthier lives. I also educate people on the differences between hemp and marijuana, the legalities, and the importance of the endocannabinoid system.
- When did you start?
- Why did you start?
Tell us about your goals
As a graduate of a top university with a degree in Biology, I was never taught about the endocannabinoid system. After much research and gaining knowledge about the ECS, cannabinoids, and the multitude of health issues that can be addressed using CBD, I knew I had to be involved in educating and helping people benefit from the properties in hemp.
- What motivates you?
Describe your mission passion
Changing lives! Helping people who are looking for preventative long-term health, and those who are struggling with their health to improve their quality of life. I am driven by the stories of the lives being changed.
- What was the most fulfilling moment that happened to you?
What is it that you love most about what you do?
I love connecting with people, listening to what they are really looking for or needing, and being able to provide a solution. When they come back to me and tell me how they or their loved ones have experienced improvement and are feeling better, my heart swells knowing I was able to be a part of that life change.
- What was the hardest/toughest moment you had to deal with?
Obstacles you faced when dealing with bureaucracy, permits, funding, etc. Something you would like to point out to anyone who might be starting their own organization.
The most difficult challenge in the hemp industry is ignorance. People who are not educated in the difference between hemp and marijuana. I have had people lash out at me saying I’m promoting drugs and crime, saying they want nothing to do with what I have to offer because it is terrible and makes people addicts. They assume I am in the marijuana industry, which can be violently opinionated. If they were willing to listen and learn, their eyes would open.
- What separates you from the rest? Why you?
My first and foremost concern is the people I work with. Any compensation is a bi-product of the work I do. I look to create a relationship and trust with my clients and business partners, because my intentions are from the heart.
I would do this work if there were no money attached to it.
- Where do you see your business in 5 years?
In 5 years I see myself as the person people choose to work with when exploring the world of hemp and CBD. Whether looking to carry products in their own retail space, consume products personally, or work towards sustainable solutions with hemp based products. I also hope to be working with local sports teams involving concussive injury to educate and help protect players against CTE.
- Anything else you would like to add?
Hemp CBD is vital to our survival and can be used by anyone of any age. Our company, a subsidiary of Medical Marijuana, Inc. is at the forefront of product innovation, quality testing, and exploring all of the 50,000 uses of hemp for the betterment of our planet and all of its inhabitants.
