Tell us about your goals
My wife and I were planning our own wedding for Jan 2014 and in the process we decided we wanted to have a photobooth at our wedding but we wanted a real photo booth strip frame as a favor for our guests. We found nothing in the states and found a company in Australia that had what we wanted. Price was very prohibitive to ship 100 frames to the US, so we engaged in talks and started as a distributor for their products in the US. Operating for into our 4th yr now and each year sees an increase over the prior. We just acquired another related company, www.propsigns.com, where we run a website selling nothing but photo booth props and we hope to make this another BIG revenue producer for our company.

Our goal is to gain more work/life balance for my wife and I while providing employment opportunities for our family. That is the goal. We operate on making the customer, every customer, feel special. Quick delivery, quick response, and quality products sets us apart.
- What was the most fulfilling moment that happened to you?
What is it that you love most about what you do?
I love it when a bride orders last minute and we come through for them. Saving brides one album at a time. Big sales come to mind, but it’s those reviews we get of brides loving our products and more so giving us accolades for our customer service.
- What was the hardest/toughest moment you had to deal with?
Obstacles you faced when dealing with bureaucracy, permits, funding, etc. Something you would like to point out to anyone who might be starting their own organization.
Sometimes shipments fall off the radar – it’s hard to accept that a bride was counting on you or a customer was counting on you and due to the shipping companies (yes, out of our hands) still affects me.
- What separates you from the rest? Why you?
Unique product offerings – we keep our ears open for opportunities to deliver the next solution for the photo booth industry. We designed the “slip in album” for 2×6 photo strips and we are designing a new album that will be HUGE for the industry this year.
- Are you involved in local community, and if yes, how?
Not as much as we would like to be.
- Where do you see your business in 5 years?
We hope our business leads to new opportunities, expanding our product line, and providing FT employment for both my wife and I.
